Kerio Valley, Equator, and Tire Trouble

Coming back from Nairobi, we drove through Kerio Valley,
and stopped at the equator.  This tortoise along the road
was one of the few travelers we saw.

  

 

 

Two days later we encountered this misfortune.
Fortunately it was flat on only one side.

We had plenty of roadside advice and a little help.
A hammer, bike tire pump, and hacksaw was all we needed.
