A Walk in Kakamega Rain Forest

We took a short walk in the forest and saw a few blue
monkeys, but they were far away.  Other wildlife
was frogs, fish, and butterflies.

Rondo Retreat in Kakamega Forest

We drove to Kakamega Rain Forest and stayed
overnight at Rondo Retreat, a very peaceful and
beautiful place.  The rooms were immaculate and
the food delicious.  Our lunch was a Kenyan meal
of bean/meat dish with rice and chapati and
yummy pineapple meringue pie.

Mattresses to Family

We took some elders' used mattresses to a family
in Naitiri.  Both parents have passed away and
the older children are trying to keep the family
together and keeping up the family home.  The
last picture is the gravesite of their parents who
are buried near the home.
