Milk shake anyone?

We came across this unusual item when we shopped for
groceries at Naukamatt in Eldoret.  Jon wondered who the
lucky person was who got to milk the camel.  I say it was a
woman.

These shoes look worse in real life.  They will not be coming

More Swamp Views

Sawia Swamp
Another view
Can you see the bird, one of more than
300 species in the park?
Look for the water bird on the edge of the water.
Home of the rare sitatunga antelope, adapted to swamp life
It is so rare, that we think we saw its horns and/or ears
somewhere in this picture.

Newt

Newt has been our house pet for several weeks.  He has
been hanging out in Jon's bathroom.
We picked him up off the floor, but a few
days later he died behind a door.

Visiting Members in Sikhendu and Kitale Branches

This 4-year-old girl has built a mud house for play.
She loves to play house and wants to be a mom when she
grows up.
Marianne sometimes plays for church, DDM for the
missionaries, and also "teaches" a little keyboarding.
This was another RS visit, this time to the oldest sister in the Branch.
She and Jon became best friends when they
decided they were both born in 1942.
